Steel Pans extravaganza, 21 Jun 2005

All four Biddenham Upper School Steel Pans bands performed in the annual Bedford Park event. They sounded good although the hot sun made some wilt somewhat, and caused the Bass drums to go off tune.

Starting at 2.00 on Sunday, the Year 9 Steel Pans Band kicked off the even, playing for around 20 minutes, followed by the Y10 Band, the Y11 band and then the Sixth Form Band who were helped out by former student, Andrew Toovey who was back in Bedford from University for the day.

All bands put in a sterling performance despite some not having been able to rehearse together for some time because of examinations.

Well done all - the event was thoroughly enjoyable!
